The Ruskin College Oxford BMus (Hons) Performance and Music Management program is an undergraduate degree program that prepares students for a career in the music industry as performers, managers, and industry professionals. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of music genres and styles, as well as the skills and knowledge required to manage and produce music at a professional level. Throughout the program, students will study a range of topics related to performance and music management, including music theory, composition, arrangement, production, performance, event planning, and music business management. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be well-prepared to work in a range of music-related professions, including live performance, music management, event planning, marketing, and music education.
Career Pathways
Go on to work - As a Recording Artist in recording studios. As a Session Musician on tours or cruise ships, in schools and colleges, Teaching and Passing on your skills as a Music Promoter for record labels and music management companies.

Entry Requirements(Qualification)
Entry requirements - 112-128 UCAS points required from level 3 qualifications. These can include: A Levels at grade B, B and C, or above. BTEC Extended Diploma with Distinction, Merit, Merit. Access to HE Diploma. T Levels. Your Level 3 qualifications would normally include Music or an alternative relevant subject area.You also need GCSE English and Maths (grade 9 – 4 / A* - C) or Level 2 equivalents. We require a minimum of grade 6 performance on your first instrument or voice; preferably grade 5/6 sight reading, and preferably grade 5 Music Theory, but we will audition you if you believe you meet the required standard but have no formal qualifications.

Mature applicants (aged 21+): If you do not hold the qualifications listed but have relevant work experience, you are welcome to apply. Your application will be considered on an individual basis.
